Thompson presented a facade improvement grant recommendation for GLM LLC, 19 Lincoln Way (retail tenant 'Indie Indy Bang Bang'). The recommended award totaled $50,933, reflecting a 30/50 match, a pro rata addition for work over 900 square feet and $7,500 in architectural fees. The Board approved the grant by voice vote.
Thompson also presented a planning-commission recommendation to vacate alleys within Block 2 of the Fisk Subdivision (605 Beech Street, Banta Center). The replat would reduce eight lots to two and replace alleys with 20-foot utility easements as requested by the utilities department. The Board approved the alley vacation and Thompson said he would bring an ordinance to the next council meeting to finalize the vacation.
Separately, Thompson reported Luke Land submitted a signed agreement (Thomas Collins) to maintain landscaping islands in the Cumberland Crossing development consistent with existing covenants. The Board accepted the maintenance agreement by voice vote.
Staff noted these items are part of ongoing development and will proceed through the normal ordinance and recordation steps where required.
