Council approves ordinance appropriation for planning services, carries other appropriations to next meeting

Ordinance No. 4-20-26 (a $68,000 appropriation in the general fund to pay Baker Tilly invoices from prior-year services) was likewise read, opened for public hearing (no speakers), and carried to the next meeting.
Ordinance No. 9-20-26 (a $10,000 appropriation from the cigarette tax fund for the Human Relations Council) was introduced; council members discussed the likely initial uses, including a membership fee to the Indiana Human Rights Consortium, and carried the ordinance to the next meeting so the HRC and staff can finalize spending details. Council members emphasized that any specific spending would be returned to the Board of Works or council as required.
