Butler County board approves minutes, schedules a special meeting for May 20

The Butler County board approved minutes for meetings on Nov. 18, March 17, March 30 and April 15 after a motion and second during Friday’s meeting.
A committee member moved to approve the minutes and another member seconded the motion. When the chair asked for a voice vote, one member vocalized "aye" and the chair declared the motion carried.
Later the board discussed scheduling its next meeting. Members agreed to cancel the regular meeting and post a special-called meeting for May 20 at 9 a.m.; staff noted the need to post notice at least 24 hours before a special meeting. The chair said staff will cancel the regular meeting posting and publish the special-call notice on the courthouse posting board.
The board also discussed alternative meeting days to accommodate members' schedules and asked staff to check availability; one member said a trial calendar may affect availability but later indicated they could attend the proposed date.
