Mooresville — The Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation Board of School Trustees met on Feb. 10, 2026, and unanimously approved routine business while recognizing the high school girls wrestling team for recent individual and team accomplishments.
Board President Timothy Cummins called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m. and confirmed a quorum with members Dave Oberle, Deon Brimmage and Vice President Jennifer Reed present; Secretary Matt Saner was absent. Cummins led the Pledge of Allegiance and opened the public-comment period; school staff advised that no members of the public had signed up to speak.
Cummins invited Mr. Upton and Coach Mikesell to introduce the girls wrestling team. Coach Mikesell introduced the athletes and summarized their individual and team accolades, recognizing their competitive achievements at recent events.
The board then moved to routine business. President Cummins presented the consent agenda; Jennifer Reed moved to approve it and Deon Brimmage seconded. The motion passed 4-0, with Oberle, Brimmage, Cummins and Reed voting yes.
Mrs. Holly Frye announced the out-of-district application deadline for students seeking to attend Mooresville Schools for the 2026–2027 school year will be May 29, 2026. Frye noted that while the district accepts out-of-district applications year-round, setting a deadline helps with summer staffing decisions. Dave Oberle moved to approve the date; Jennifer Reed seconded and the motion carried 4-0.
Jennifer Reed moved to close the meeting; Deon Brimmage seconded and the motion carried 4-0. The board adjourned shortly thereafter. No additional actions or dates were specified in the minutes.
