TAC recommends staff-submitted comments on VTrans statewide project list
Summary
The TAC reviewed VTrans’s statewide potential project lists for paving, roadway and traffic & safety and voted unanimously to recommend staff-prepared comments be submitted to VTrans for the VPSP2 process.
Christine Forde (CCRPC) reviewed the memo showing Chittenden County projects recommended by VTrans for funding and projects listed for later consideration. Members asked for clarifications on specific projects, including circulation at the Essex Junction multimodal station and intent behind VT117/Skunk Hollow Road work (realignment/visibility improvements rather than culvert replacement).
Justin Rabidoux moved that the TAC recommend the staff-prepared comments, Sam Andersen seconded, and the motion was approved unanimously. The vote instructs staff to submit the edited comments to VTrans for consideration in the VPSP2 project selection and prioritization process.
The committee directed staff to incorporate member edits before submission and to follow up on projects where further definition or funding strategy is needed.
