La Porte RDC approves $5.35M stormwater contract, Newport Landing site work and parking agreement

The La Porte Redevelopment Commission on April 29 approved a series of construction and services contracts and related actions supporting infrastructure work in Newport Landing and the Boyd Boulevard corridor.
Craig Phillips, speaking for staff, said the previously awarded bid for the Boyd Boulevard stormwater improvement project was for $5,349,750 and that, once required EDA paperwork is in place (including a site sign), the city could issue a notice to proceed and crews could begin as early as next week.
