The Commissioner’s Court of Rockwall County used its Nov. 14 session to both announce a public annex grand opening and to memorialize longtime county employee Dana Foreman.
Commissioner Gallano told attendees the annex grand opening was scheduled for 10 a.m. and invited the community to attend. Shortly afterward Commissioner Lichty read a statement prepared by the county’s HR director announcing the passing of Dana Foreman on Nov. 5 and asking for a moment of silence.
The HR-prepared statement noted Foreman began county service in 2010 as a part-time clerk in the sheriff’s office, was promoted in 2011 to Chief Assistant in Indigent Health, and became Indigent Health Coordinator in 2020. Commissioners and Judge Frank New spoke about Foreman’s positive spirit and asked members of the community to keep her family and coworkers in their thoughts.
The court paused for a moment of silence and then adjourned at 9:10 a.m.; commissioners again reminded the public of the annex event scheduled later that morning.
