County approves tax abatement for ADCW expansion that officials say will bring manufacturing jobs

Waller County Commissioners Court approved an abatement agreement for ADCW, a joint development entity, to support an expansion of a specialized brazed-aluminum heat-exchanger manufacturing operation. County economic-development staff introduced the item and invited a company representative to describe the project.
Jeff Diaz, speaking for ADCW, described a purpose-built facility to manufacture cryogenic heat exchangers and said, "We're gonna more than double the size, double the footprint. We're gonna triple the number of employees we have out there," highlighting plans to partner with local training programs and Blinn College for workforce development.
Commissioners and staff said the abatement and local partnerships have helped earlier industrial investments and stressed the benefit of skilled manufacturing jobs and local training pipelines. The presentation covered the technical nature of the product, expected pay ranges for skilled positions, and environmental controls for painting operations (low-VOC paint and containment). The court approved the abatement agreement (item 36 carries).
