Auditor Karla Weiss briefed the board on drainage matters, and Supervisor Terry Durby reported that drainage district DD 14 Lat 6 has been completed. Supervisor Smith raised concerns about beaver dams affecting drainage infrastructure in the county and the need for continued maintenance.
Supervisor Smith moved to add Petersburg as a drainage contractor; Supervisor Durby seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously to approve the contingent appointment.
The addition takes effect once the auditor’s office confirms the required documentation. The board did not set a separate timeline for work assignments; follow-up administration will be handled through the auditor’s and engineer’s offices.
