Port Richey’s council on March 10 approved a new city branding sign suite and authorized staff to move the design into manufacturing documents and the bidding process.
City Manager Don King introduced the item and turned the presentation over to the design lead. The presenter described a primary monument sign with LED video-board accommodation and a granite gap that allows easier maintenance of the video board.
A council member moved to approve the design concept; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. The board directed staff to proceed with the manufacturing documents and bidding so the signs can be fabricated and installed at key locations tied to the US 19 project and median improvements.
The package is intended to refresh the city’s image at key gateways and at city hall. The city manager said staff will return with construction-administration documents for a subsequent meeting to ensure the delivered signs match the presented designs.
What happens next: Staff will bring the manufacturing documents and contract procurement details to the next board meeting and proceed to bid the sign work once the board reviews the construction-administration scope.
