Covington council schedules public hearing on vacating right-of-way near former Rivermont School; places grant and appropriation resolutions on March 10 agenda

Mayor Forbes also listed two resolutions for inclusion on the March 10 agenda: Resolution R-26-07, which staff described as accepting Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) grant funds for Delta Advanced 911 services with no City match required, and Resolution R-26-08, which would provide for supplemental appropriations in various funds. Those resolutions were announced for the March 10 meeting; the work session did not approve them at this time.
The council took no final action on the ordinance or the resolutions at the March 3 work session; the items were set for the March 10 meeting where public hearing and formal votes may occur.
