Forest Park proclaims gratitude to retiring village clerk Vanessa Belmonte after 20 years of service

The Village of Forest Park on Sept. 22 read a proclamation honoring Village Clerk Vanessa Belmonte on her retirement after more than 20 years of service.
During the administrator’s report the proclamation cited Belmonte’s work managing official records, supporting council operations, overseeing human resources duties including onboarding and benefits, and administering payroll and insurance functions. The proclamation stated that her institutional knowledge, professionalism and dedication will be missed by village officials and the community.
The village administrator praised Belmonte directly: "Vanessa, you not only have helped me as village administrator, but you helped me when I was a village commissioner as well, teaching me the ins, the outs," and thanked her for two decades of service. Commissioners also offered personal thanks and congratulations.
Belmonte responded, "Thank you very much," and council members closed the meeting by wishing her well. The proclamation will be filed in village records and Belmonte was noted as remaining available for questions in the short period before her departure.
