Sioux City Comm School District board moves into closed session to evaluate an employee

The Sioux City Comm School District board convened a special meeting April 30 and, after approving the agenda, voted unanimously to move into closed session to evaluate the professional competency of an individual at that individual's request.

"Board members, it is 04/30/2026, and the time is 02:31. I now call the special meeting to order," the board Chair said at the start of the meeting. The Chair asked Shanice, the clerk, to call the roll; the clerk read names and members indicated they were present.

The Chair asked for approval of the meeting agenda; a motion and a second were made and the Chair called a voice vote. The Chair then moved that the board recess into closed session "pursuant to Iowa Code" to evaluate the professional competency of an individual and noted the motion was being made at the individual's request.
