The Burr Ridge board unanimously approved an ordinance levying $1,344,080 in property taxes for the 2025–26 fiscal year at its Nov. 10 meeting.
Village administrator Evan Walter said the levy represents funds the village will collect for corporate purposes and includes the full police pension levy. Walter characterized the action as the sixth straight year the village’s tax rate has been cut, saying assessed value growth (EAV) has outpaced rate increases.
Trustees asked how police protection funding would be maintained after adjusting levy allocations; Walter said general-fund revenues such as sales taxes and income-tax distributions are expected to cover those expenses as other revenues grow.
The board moved to adopt the ordinance, took a roll-call vote and approved it 5–0. The ordinance will be reflected in the village’s budget documents and posted in the meeting packet for public record.
