The mayor and other trustees disagreed on the legal reading and emphasized compliance with prior procedures; the board chose to table the IGA and directed the mayor and manager to schedule a workshop and bring documentation to the trustees for review.
What happens next: The mayor will schedule a workshop to allow trustees to review the legal and fiscal documentation, the park district will provide its budget/proposed property list and the village attorney will advise whether any judicial clarification is needed.
