The Winnebago County Board of Adjustment voted Jan. 8 to approve its 2026 meeting calendar and amend the deliberative meeting start time from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
A board member raised concerns that 7:30 a.m. was intended to accommodate the court reporter and early schedules, but others said 8:00 a.m. aligns better with building opening and member availability. The committee member moved to approve the calendar with the amendment to set deliberative meetings at 8:00 a.m.; the motion was seconded and carried.
Earlier in the meeting the board moved to approve minutes from Nov. 13, Nov. 19 (public hearing), Dec. 4 (deliberative), Dec. 11 (viewing) and Dec. 17 (public hearing) after confirming that the Dec. 11 viewing minutes should be included. The board took voice votes on the minutes and recorded the motions as carried.
Board members asked staff to update the published calendar to reflect the new start time. With no further business, the chair called for and the board approved adjournment.
