Commissioners authorize interlocal agreements with six cities for on-site sewage management
Summary
Lubbock County authorized the county judge to sign interlocal on-site sewage management agreements with Abernathy, Bridal, New Deal, Shallowater, Slayton and Wolford; each agreement was moved and approved in sequence with no extended debate.
During its Nov. 24 session the Lubbock County Commissioners Court authorized the county judge to execute interlocal agreements with six municipalities to provide on-site sewage management services.
Each agreement (items 17–22) was presented as substantially identical but naming a different city partner: the City of Abernathy, the City of Bridal, the City of New Deal, the City of Shallowater, the City of Slayton and the City of Wolford. The court moved and approved each authorization in sequence. No commissioner requested pulling any of the items for separate discussion.
The court recorded motions and votes to authorize execution of the agreements; formal contract language and implementation steps will be handled administratively by the county judge’s office and county engineering or related staff.
The approvals were procedural in nature; no substantive debate over terms was reported in the public meeting record.
The court then moved on to other business.
