Amber Woehlert, Oscoda County Equalization Director, presented the county’s 2026 Equalization Report. Woehlert reported a total equalized value of $867,251,856 (including Disabled Veterans exemptions), a 5% increase from the prior year, and said the tentative taxable value rose approximately 2.8%. She noted the AMARS (Audit of Minimum Assessment Requirements) review for local assessors is scheduled to begin next month.
The board entered an Equalization Session as required by PA 135 of 1991 and, following the session, moved to accept the Oscoda County 2026 Equalization Report and to authorize the chair and county clerk to sign the accepted documents; the acceptance motion (2026-082) recorded a total equalized value of $878,919,656 for signature and passed by roll call.
Woehlert also noted a projected tax-revenue decrease of approximately $45,000 due to Disabled Veterans’ exemptions. The board did not record additional adjustments or corrections to township reviews; the report indicated all Oscoda County townships passed their reviews without correctional reports.
