Tandy, a county elections staff member, told the court, "We completed our canvas for the county's election on Monday evening. You have those results in front of you." She read the totals reported for the canvass: a total of 18,175 voters, with 8,410 early votes and 9,657 votes cast on Election Day.
The canvass finalizes the county’s count for the listed propositions and places those results on the official record. The chair asked for a motion to approve the canvass; "Mister Phillips" moved and "Mister Crow" seconded. The court approved the motion by voice vote.
Officials praised election staff and volunteers for their work during the two-week early voting period and on Election Day. The court then moved on to canvass other items on the agenda before adjourning.
