Jasmine Sanchez of the Lubbock County Tax Office reported on March 9 that February collections for venue and short‑term rental tax totaled $225,775.79, with hotel tax receipts of $158,752.14 and vehicle tax receipts of $67,023.65.
Sanchez said monthly totals were down about 2% compared with the prior month but that fiscal‑year totals have increased about 9%, with combined hotel and vehicle collections for the fiscal year at $1,215,913.87.
She also reported the venue bank account had cumulative deposits of $23,723,359.45 through Feb. 27 and total disbursements of $7,910,640.62, leaving a balance of $15,812,718.83.
The court asked no follow‑up questions and thanked Sanchez for the presentation. The figures will be used for ongoing venue and event planning and disbursement decisions.
