Erwin board approves poultry ordinance update, lease and Hurricane Helene engineering RFQ

The ordinance update on poultry in town limits passed on a roll call with all members present voting aye; Alderwoman Cathy Huskins was recorded absent.
The board also approved the lease agreement for the Morgan property. Alderwoman Angie Vaughn moved the lease approval, Vice Mayor James "Mickey" Hatcher seconded, and the motion carried with four ayes and one nay (Alderman Michael Baker cast the lone no vote).
Separately, the board approved an RFQ to secure engineering services related to Hurricane Helene disaster work. Alderman Michael Baker made the motion to approve the RFQ, which passed on a roll call with all present voting aye.
