The board voted on the contract during its considerations and approved it by roll call. Vice Mayor James "Mickey" Hatcher moved to approve the contract; Alderman Michael Baker seconded. The roll call recorded ayes from Gary Chandler, Cathy Huskins, Michael Baker, Angie Vaughn, James "Mickey" Hatcher and Mayor Glenn White.
Recorder Bailey said the town has not yet provided an estimated timeline for when work would begin. He also stated that BCBS will manage the upgrades, and that the $1.2 million maintenance fund is reserved for ongoing upkeep of Fishery Park. The board did not attach conditions or a schedule when it approved the contract.
The board concluded its business by scheduling its next regular meeting for May 12, 2025 and adjourning.
