Pierce accepted the recognition and thanked her family, colleagues and the district for professional-development opportunities and partnerships that supported her classroom practice. “I am grateful for the opportunities that I have had within Lincoln Public Schools to continue my path of being a lifelong learner,” she said.
The district will present a certificate; board members and colleagues congratulated Pierce and her family, who attended the meeting.
