In discussion, Dr. Gilson said there were no current plans for the fixed assets funds and described that the prior finance director had left them available as a contingency. The motion was seconded, put to a voice vote and approved. The committee recorded no roll-call tally in the transcript.
Dr. Gilson also provided historical comparisons (FY24–FY26), account-level detail across about 1,200 ledger lines and noted constrained functional areas (administration nearly spent; benefits with $709,000 remaining; pupil services $313,000 remaining). She told members she is monitoring encumbrances, payroll timing and expects to "land on our feet" at year end.
The committee discussed next steps for reconciliation and transfer approvals; Dr. Gilson indicated the transfer is in keeping with district policy that allows the committee to move funds to resolve a negative function.
