Lancaster County Council voted to remove Nakisha Prokop from two advisory bodies for exceeding the allowable number of absences, then considered several applications and made two appointments.
Staff reported Prokop had missed board meetings beyond the ordinance threshold and that her terms had expired on 06/30/2025 without reapplication. Council moved to remove her from both the Board of Assessment Appeals and the Health and Wellness Board; the motion passed unanimously.
On subsequent appointments, the council appointed Richard Crandall to the District 1 Planning Commission to fill an unexpired term through 06/30/2029 and appointed Carol Nupp to the Health and Wellness Commission (term through 06/30/2030); both appointments were approved unanimously. An application for a District 4 Community Outreach and Engagement Commission seat was postponed to the next meeting to allow review of a recently received application.
