Merrimack County accepts DHHS funds to buy three mobile telehealth cabinets for re-entry services

The Merrimack County Department of Corrections will receive Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) funding to purchase three secure mobile telehealth cabinets equipped with mobile hotspots and PCs to support pre-release service connections and psychiatric care for people re-entering the community.
Superintendent Garrett Jewell presented the request, explaining the units would be used in collaboration with DHHS’s Community Re-Entry Team to improve access to psychiatric care and facilitate connections to services before release. The total cost for the three units is approximately $8,250.91.
Commissioner Lovlien moved to approve acceptance of the DHHS funding in the amount of $8,250.91; Commissioner Shurtleff seconded the motion, which passed unanimously, 3–0.
