Pacifica board approves two director hires and new job descriptions for grants and facilities roles

The Pacifica School District board approved several personnel actions May 1, including two director appointments and new job descriptions intended to support grants work and bond-funded construction oversight.
Martha Ladd read material contract terms for Rachel Romo for the 2026'—2027 school year: Romo will be placed on step F6 of the certificated management salary schedule with a base salary of $183,153 for that year, plus standard benefits. The board moved and seconded to approve Romo—9s hiring.
Trustees also approved the appointment of Catherine Prezenzi as Director of Educational Support Services, effective 05/01/2026, at step A1 with a base salary of $157,987 for the 2025'—2026 portion of the contract. Prezenzi addressed the board and said she was honored to take the role after 18 years working in the district.
In addition, the board approved a new certificated-management job description for Coordinator of Strategic Initiatives and Grant Management, and a classified-management job description for Supervisor of Maintenance, Operations and Bond Construction, and updated management salary schedules to integrate the new positions for 2026'—2027.
