Commissioner Jepsen introduced the recognition, saying the program selected 250 public servants from across the country and that only three nominees were chosen from Minnesota. Jepsen noted two other Minnesota honorees and said the recognition reflects Camp’s impact and leadership in county finance.
Corey Camp thanked the board and described his work with a local mentor program through the Minnesota Government Finance Officers Association that he has led for about 13 years. He said he values team support and training and that he hopes to continue engaging and developing county finance professionals.
Administrators and fellow commissioners praised Camp’s technical knowledge and contributions to the county’s finances and investment results. Chair remarks credited Camp and his team for positive returns in the county’s 2025–2026 investment report.
The recognition was offered as an informational item and no formal vote was required. The board moved on to committee reports after the presentation.
