Mahoney requested records under RCW 42.56 and asked that the City Attorney be notified. The council thanked her and did not take immediate action; her statements were presented as public comment and not explored or substantiated at the meeting.

Commercial lease clarification: Maria Rangel, who said she is a downtown business owner, clarified that the commercial space formerly occupied by Havana Cafe remains available and that she had previously operated a different business at that address; she said a prospective lessee she had discussed terms with was not under contract.
