County reviews hail‑repair estimates for vehicles; insurance decision left to NIRMA and sheriff

Schneider St.; the estimated average cost per vehicle is approximately $3,700. Supervisor Backens asked whether all damaged vehicles — including sheriff’s vehicles — would need repair. Andrews said that decision would be made by NIRMA and Sheriff Weitzel and that the event is being treated as a single loss with a $1,000 deductible expected to cover the incident across vehicles.
The Board took no immediate action; Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert and staff were directed to continue coordinating estimates and NIRMA review.
