Camping at Fowler and Hawthorne is slated to start May 1, and seasonal staff have been training to support full operations.
Park improvements and access concerns were also discussed: Prairie Creek lacks sufficient parking (roughly 15'18 spaces), and staff proposed removing two walnut trees to create about 10 additional spaces pending feasibility estimates.
The meeting closed after routine approvals and a reminder that staff will circulate final budget numbers and scheduling details for upcoming ribbon cuttings and projects.
