The Stilwell Improvement Authority unanimously approved minutes from several earlier meetings and authorized payment of $2,746,403.42 in claims at a brief session July 1, 2024, at City Hall.
Committee member Jim Spray moved to approve the consent agenda, which included minutes for the regular meeting of April 1, 2024, and special meetings on Jan. 2; Feb. 5; Mar. 4; Apr. 15; May 6; May 13; and Jun. 10, and the payment of claims covering Jan. 1 through Jun. 30, 2024. Committee member Lane Kindle seconded; the roll call recorded Coye Nettles, Barrett Harris, Debbie Johnson, Jim Spray, Lane Kindle and Mayor Jean Ann Wright voting yes and the motion carried.
Mayor Jean Ann Wright and City Clerk-Treasurer Larry Nettles were listed as present. City Attorney Jeff Jones was recorded as absent. The minutes list guests Shawn Noel, Chad Smith, Steven Roberts, Tilden Martin, Dale Dandridge, Charley Coombes and Ellen Workman; no presentations or public comments from those guests are recorded in the minutes.
The minutes include the public comment procedures (sign-in required, three minutes per speaker, 15-minute cumulative limit) and cite Title 25, O.S. Sec. 311 regarding the handling of unforeseen business. Under that agenda item the minutes state there were no new business items requiring consideration.
