NetRMA director outlines membership benefits to Henderson County commissioners

Glenn Green, executive director of the Northeast Texas Regional Mobility Authority, told the Henderson County Commissioners Court that membership in NetRMA is free and can provide engineering, feasibility work and small infrastructure projects for member counties.
"The first and most important thing is it's free admission," Green said, adding NetRMA represents 14 East Texas counties and can work on highways, rail, airports and other infrastructure projects. He cited examples including engineering for road widening and airport apron work and said NetRMA typically partners with counties on projects of roughly $500,000.
Commissioners asked about prior expansion and noted Henderson County had previously declined membership years ago. Green said membership requires agreements from NetRMA’s existing member counties and that the board of directors—appointed by county judges—gives member counties representation and oversight.
The court did not act immediately; the judge said the matter will be brought back to the court for future consideration so the public and commissioners can better understand NetRMA’s offerings.
