Clerk circulates draft ordinance to limit truck traffic on Booth Road

The clerk said she combined previously provided documents into what she expected to be "pretty close to the final draft of that ordinance" and emphasized the need to post a separate notice for the public hearing. The discussion focused on precise roadway endpoints and jurisdictional language so the county portion would be covered without inadvertently including city streets.

Committee members and the clerk debated exact endpoints and naming conventions for the ordinance, agreeing that listing the county portion as "Booth Road from Highway 7 to Northwest 40 Road" would cover the county's responsibility while townships and the city would specify their portions. The committee member noted technical constraints: bridge checkers control legal weight limits and the site includes a box culvert that could affect permitted loads.

Participants requested field measurements so each township can specify the portion it owns. The clerk said she would prepare a single ordinance text and email it to the townships so they could adapt it without recreating it from scratch: "I'll just put it in a Word document so they can edit change."
