Verona — The Verona Common Council on April 27 voted to overturn Traffic Safety Committee decisions and approve two near‑term street safety measures: a 4‑way stop at Zing Drive and Dunhill Drive and a painted bike/pedestrian lane on a stretch of South Main Street.
Resident Kate Broski told the council she had experienced two close calls when her child exited the driveway on Zing Drive and described a steep hill and a nearby bus stop that require children to cross at the intersection. "People tend to drive very, very quickly on it," Broski said. "I'm a concerned parent for the safety of kids."
