Keystone Central SD says Lamtech camera installation should be operational by Aug. 15

Staff member opened the meeting’s facilities update by reporting that Lamtech has begun cable installation across district buildings and that hardware shipments have arrived.

“Completion date is to be by August 15, everything in and operational,” the staff member said, adding that equipment arrived in skids and that walkthroughs checked maps of camera locations and made adjustments to reduce blind spots.

Committee members said the vendor supplied camera-layout maps and that middle-school coverage will be improved with additional angles where needed. The staff member said the approach includes either direct replacement or expanded coverage in locations where older cameras left gaps.

The discussion also covered door hardware and entry systems: staff and a presenter confirmed they reviewed card-openers and door-opener orders to ensure compatibility across campus doors. Staff noted guest-management hardware will use iPads and printers on stands as part of the visitor check-in process and that the entry controls are separate hardware components.

Committee members asked about vendor coordination and documentation; staff said they have ongoing contacts and that teams have communicated to avoid ordering errors. The committee did not take a formal vote on the project during the meeting.

The district plans to report further progress at the next quarterly meeting on Aug. 20 or sooner if issues arise.
