The goals presented are: (1) by 2028, 100% of K'1 students will demonstrate a year or more of academic growth in English language arts and math; (2) by 2028, 100% of students identified as struggling to persevere or finish assignments will receive appropriate interventions and training; (3) by 2028, 100% of students will feel they belong and have positive relationships with peers and staff; (4) by 2028, the district will provide mental and physical health services or supports for all students referred for those services; (5) by 2028, all parents will feel informed about their child's education and comfortable contacting their school; and (6) by 2028, the number of community members and organizations volunteering in the schools will increase.
Rachu outlined next steps for implementation including summer collaborative planning with building teams to set Year 4 benchmark goals, staff communication in August and carrying out Year 4 action steps during the 2026-27 school year. The board did not adopt formal policy language in this meeting; the presentation was recorded as an update and planning step.
