After reconvening from an executive session under Government Code 551.087 to discuss economic development negotiations involving 'Project Youngblood,' the Kaufman County Commissioners Court directed staff to pursue a proposed agreement with the City of Terrell for a business to operate at the county airport.
The court described the proposed incentive as a five-year abatement consistent with the county’s guidelines. Commissioners instructed county legal staff to review the draft agreement; if the legal review returns the document in the same form presented, the court indicated it will vote on final approval in a subsequent meeting in a few weeks.
No final agreement or vote occurred at the meeting; the action authorized staff to negotiate and have legal review the proposed agreement prior to returning it to the court.
