Kaufman County commissioners on March 17 approved two procurement contracts with Texas Materials Group under previously advertised Dallas and Ellis County solicitations and completed routine budget housekeeping to close the fiscal year.
Procurement staff Lorena presented two awards: $856,936.34 for road materials for County Road 4011 in Precinct 4 (using Dallas County IFB 20220466961 and Ellis County RFB 2024010) and $1,120,822.34 for Canyon Road 4012 in Precinct 4 under the same referenced solicitations. Lorena told the court the quotes and contracts had been reviewed and met specifications and procurement requirements; the court approved both purchases by voice vote.
Finance staff then presented routine line-item transfers and several cleanup items related to closing fiscal year 2025; the court approved the transfers. Staff also recommended payment of accounts payable invoices, mostly County Road expenditures and operating leases, and regular payroll; the court approved the claims and payroll.
Taken together, the two purchases total $1,977,758.68 in road-materials contracts for Precinct 4. The transcript does not record detailed vendor bids, unit prices or specific delivery schedules. No member of the public objected during the meeting record, and the court approved the items as presented.
