Kaufman County Commissioners Court accepted two $1,000 donations on Jan. 6 to help pay for wrapping and branding of the county's doggy mobile and to support pet‑adoption outreach. Staff member Peyton told the court Operation Kindness and the Spay and Neuter Network each pledged $1,000 and that the organizations’ logos will appear on the vehicle.
Peyton also reported an ongoing low‑cost spay/neuter program backed by an anonymous donor: residents schedule through the network, pay $40 for a procedure and receive $20 back under the subsidy. Staff said more than 900 animals have been fixed since October as part of that program. The court moved to accept the donations, a second was recorded and the motion carried by voice vote.
Staff described the wrap as a public‑facing way to advertise the county’s adoption center and to promote the spay/neuter program.
