Court awards juvenile facility RFP to Core Construction and authorizes negotiations

Jeff Jackson (speaker 12), vice president with Core, introduced his team and highlighted the firm's national experience in municipal and detention construction. Procurement staff said the evaluation committee included several judges and a commissioner and recommended awarding the contract to Core Construction and beginning negotiations.
Commissioners asked no substantive follow-up. A motion to award RFP 2025-013 to Core Construction and to initiate contract negotiations passed by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will enter contract negotiations with Core Construction and return with negotiated terms for the court's consideration.
