"They have offered this agreement, asked the county to consider this agreement to take care of any damages that occur to those existing county roads," the county planner said, noting much of heavy hauling will use city streets rather than county roads for portions of the project.
Commissioners emphasized the limited scope of the agreement. One commissioner summarized the legal effect: the agreement obligates the developer to pay for road damage if they use county roads, but it is not an approval of the solar project itself.
The motion to approve carried unanimously.
