Commissioners approve procurement awards, interlocal road repair agreement and multiple plats

At its March 10 meeting the Grayson County Commissioner’s Court approved several routine but material administrative items: an interlocal agreement with Grayson County College for McCullum Avenue repairs in Precinct 4; authorization for the county judge to sign a quitclaim deed with the Texas Department of Transportation relating to abandoned right of way at US 377 and JC Lane (Precinct 3); awards on multiple procurement bids for road aggregates, asphalt materials, road oils and hauling; and approvals of a short plat and multiple replats.

County procurement staff (Jody) reviewed bid responses for road aggregates and materials, noted a typographical correction on one aggregate line, and recommended awarding multiple vendors to ensure precincts have local availability. Commissioners asked about potential fuel-surcharge exposure; staff said no spikes had been reported as of the meeting and that any adjustments would be brought back to the court if needed. Motions to approve the bid awards and the interlocal agreement were made, seconded and carried.

Land-use items approved included the Short Platte (Sutton East Addition) in Precinct 3, a replat for Pronghorn Addition Lot 12 in Precinct 4, and a replat for Tanglewood On The Green (Lot adjustments) in Precinct 4. The court announced it would go into an executive session later in the meeting and returned with no action taken from that session.

The court recorded all motions as carried; staff are to follow up on contract documents, signatures and administrative steps related to the awards, the interlocal agreement and plats.
