Grayson County honors longtime prosecutor’s office employee Rose Erwin ahead of December retirement

The proclamation, read by the presiding officer, listed Erwin’s roles in the office, including work in the hot-checks unit, misdemeanor intake and as a felony assistant, and said she will retire from county employment effective Dec. 5, 2025.
County Judge read the proclamation and the court offered unanimous applause and congratulatory remarks. Commissioner Richard Hardenberg offered a brief congratulations to Erwin; other commissioners also thanked her for her service. The court adopted the proclamation unanimously.
No formal follow-up action was recorded; the proclamation is an expression of appreciation and does not by itself change personnel records. The court adjourned shortly after routine business completed.
