Grayson County commissioners approve minutes, bills, interlocal agreements and plats, then enter executive session

At its March meeting the Grayson County Commissioners Court took a slate of routine and project-related actions, including approving minutes, authorizing payment of bills, adopting resolutions under Texas Government Code §791.014, and approving several interlocal agreements and land-planning items.
The court voted to accept the minutes of March 10 and March 17, 2026. The consent agenda was approved after the court voted to table item 7.4 for separate consideration. Judge Bruce Dossi presided over each vote.
On finance items the court authorized payment of the bills for March 31, 2026, after the removal of two line items for separate handling, and approved a payment of $50,312 to the City of White Ripe for April 2026 EMS and fire protection services.
The court approved multiple interlocal agreements and related resolutions: an agreement with the City of Gunner for replacement of an east culvert on Burke Road (Precinct 1/Precinct 124), and an agreement with the City of Van Alstyne to perform a two-course chip seal on Spain Road and to facilitate transfer of maintenance of the road to the city. Commissioners also passed Resolution 2026-011 and Resolution 2026-013 under Texas Government Code §791.014 to authorize these and related interlocal contract agreements.
On land-use items the court approved short plats and a replat: a short plat for a 4.995-acre tract on Mardell Lane in Precinct 1 (dividing it into two lots), a short plat for a 3.473-acre tract on Bethel Cannon Road in Precinct 2, and a replat (Lot 63R) for a 4.038-acre tract on North Oakmont Court in Precinct 4. All of those items were approved by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
The court also voted to convene an executive session under Texas Government Code §551.071 to consult with attorneys; the judge indicated the county attorneys and the auditor would attend. The court returned from executive session at 11:00 a.m., announced there was no action to be taken on items discussed in closed session, and adjourned.
All motions reported during the meeting passed by voice vote; the judge declared motions carried when no opposing votes were expressed.
