Commissioners pass resolution confirming former City of Luella streets as county roads

The Grayson County Commissioners Court passed Resolution 2026-016 to acknowledge the 1993 abolition of the City of Luella and to confirm the status of dedicated streets and easements as part of the county road system.
Commissioner Amar explained that county research, including review by the engineering team, showed several additions — including Louella Ridge, South Fork Estates, and Highland Meadow Estates — should be included in the county road-maintenance system. "After extensive research from myself, Mr. Stevens, and our engineering team, we have found that these couple of developments... are to be included into our road system," Amar said.
Commissioner Marr moved to pass the resolution; Commissioner Arthur seconded and the court approved the measure by voice vote. Commissioners noted that some of the roads already are being maintained and the resolution documents the county's maintenance responsibility going forward.
