Grayson County to sign renewal juvenile services contract with Comal County

The Grayson County Commissioners Court authorized the county judge on Jan. 13 to sign a proposed residential contract with Comal County to provide juvenile services and place youth in Grayson County facilities.
Latonya Moore, assistant chief of juvenile services, told the court the proposed contract is essentially a renewal of an existing arrangement and that the agencies had worked together previously. Moore offered to answer questions from commissioners.
A commissioner moved to approve the contract and another seconded; the court approved the motion by voice vote. The transcript does not show a roll-call tally.
The contract authority will allow Comal County to send youth to Grayson County facilities under the terms of the residential agreement; the transcript did not include contract dollar amounts or the length of the renewal.
