Resource Management Director Todd told the commission that SIMCOG will administer the grant and contract for a consultant; the funds, he said, will not pass through county accounts but will be administered by SIMCOG. When asked about the award amount, Todd said, "It's $45,000."
Todd described the MOU as a short, one‑page agreement to allow SIMCOG to manage the grant and assist the county in identifying a consultant and carrying out the plan review. Commissioners discussed the item and voted to approve the MOU; staff will proceed with consultant selection under SIMCOG's administration.
The MOU authorizes planning and consultant procurement steps but does not itself obligate county general fund dollars; Todd said the county's role will be to participate in the planning and accept deliverables from the consultant engaged through SIMCOG's administration.
