County approves letter of support for Inland Northwest Land Conservancy’s RCO grant to protect 2 Lakes Ranch

The Spokane County Board of Commissioners approved a by‑leave resolution authorizing staff to draft and sign a letter of support for the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy’s application to the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (RCO grant application number 26‑1634) to acquire a conservation easement on the 2 Lakes Ranch property.
A commissioner moved to approve the by‑leave item and the board voted unanimously to adopt the motion. Commissioner Waldorf thanked the Inland Northwest Land Conservancy for reaching out and noted the group’s work placing private land in conservation to benefit wildlife. “They do really good work to try and work with landowners to put their land in conservation,” Waldorf said, adding that the 2 Lakes Ranch property is near the Turnbull Wildlife Refuge.
The public hearing on the by‑leave resolution was opened and closed with no testimony. Following the vote, the motion passed unanimously.
