The Planning Commission approved a revised site plan for Chapman Automotive Repair at 5694 Stage Road on Monday, adopting staff-recommended conditions.
Director Taylor summarized the revisions, saying the property is in the CGMS general business district within the Main Street overlay and that the applicant is increasing on-site green space from the existing 17% and adding a rear buffer, additional parking and a fenced area for vehicles under repair. “We have reviewed this revised or updated site plan and recommend approval with conditions,” Director Taylor said.
A commissioner asked what material the new fence would be; Director Taylor replied the fence will be wood and that the applicant must obtain Design Review Commission approval for the fence and other design details. The agenda listed an incorrect address that staff said would be corrected; Director Taylor confirmed the property address as 5694 Stage Road.
Applicant David Bray of the Bray Firm told the commission he agreed to the conditions and was available to answer questions. After brief discussion, Commissioner David Hunt moved to approve the plan “with conditions”; the motion was seconded and passed on a roll-call vote. The clerk read the roll and commissioners recorded affirmative votes; the Chair declared the motion approved.
The commission’s approval is conditioned on the items outlined by staff and on the applicant obtaining any required design review approvals.
